*You get the opportunity to race and your late fees can be applied to the benefiting charities of the event!
- Early registration will be available until midnight, December 31, 2008 (including fees paid)
- Late registration fees go into effect January 1, 2009
- During race week there is a 10% surcharge on any remaining entries
- Active military receive a 10% discount with current military photo ID
- There is race day registration for the 5K only, if available
- Entries and fees are confirmed via email.

Race Time Check-In
General race policies
- Bibs are non-transferable.
- Refunds, name transfers or deferments are not permitted.
- Selling or trading of Bib Numbers is not allowed.
- Bib numbers positioned front top center MUST be worn throughout the entire race. The number MUST be visible at all times. Do not cut or fold the runner number. Do not deface running numbers with stickers, markers, or any writing.
- Wheelchair racers are welcome in the 1/2 marathon and the 5K. Due to the nature of the remainder of the course, wheelchair racers are not able to compete safely in the full marathon.
- Wheeled devices including but not limited to jogging strollers, walking strollers, roller skates , bicycles, scooters and skateboards are not permitted on the course.
- No full ear-covering headsets for MP-3 players, i-pods, walkman-type devices or the like, are allowed.(Earbuds that do not fully cover earways or obstruct traffic noise are allowed.)
- Walkers are welcome on whatever race course (i.e. 1/2 marathon, 5K) they can complete in 6 hours.
- Competitors who accept any assistance from any other person may be disqualified.
- There will be an official timing system in place for the Sedona Marathon, half marathon and 5K. You may be disqualified if there is no record of you passing/scanning through each of the check points.
- Protests related to actions of any race official or runner will be accepted only in written form. Verbal protests will not receive responses. All decisions of the race director are binding.
- Pets (horses, dogs, cats or other animals) will not be allowed on the course on race day.
Only in the event of Competitive, Preferred and other Starting Positions:
- If you have completed a marathon or half-marathon between January 1, 2006 and January 1, 2009 in a time faster than the times listed below and submit proof of your time to The Sedona Marathon, you will be considered for a Competitive or Preferred Starting Position.
- Marathon Qualifying Time Competitive Start 3:15:59 ; Preferred Start 3:45:59
- Half-Marathon Qualifying Time Competitive Start 1:30:59; Preferred Start 1:45:59
- You can also qualify for seeding in proper start order if you have completed a sanctioned marathon during the previous year in 4 or 5 hours.

- Competitive and Preferred Starting Positions are limited and are not guaranteed beyond January 1, 2009. All start assignments will be final after January 20, 2009.
- For other racers and walkers, etc, assembly points are based on approximate pace per mile standards, amd individuals will be putting themselves into appropriate groupings at the start line
