No. Race amenities provided along the course, including medical assistance, fluid replenishment stations and traffic safety concerns are based on the exact number of officially-entered competitors. Any addition to this number by way of unofficial participants, will adversely affect the The Sedona Marathon's ability to ensure the safety and welfare of everyone. Invite friends and family who want to race with you to register.

Where can I get a map of the race course?

What will the weather be like on race-day?

Referring to the historical temperatures for Sedona in February promises perfect weather for racers. The average high is 60°F and the average low is 32°F. The average precipitation throughout the month of February is a scant 1.5 inches. Nevertheless - it is winter, so racers should be prepared there could be snow, sleet or rain! The good news about Sedona is that even with winter precipitation, the sun dries out the asphalt streets quickly. Not so quickly on the dirt roads however, so racers should be aware of the clay mud that may be their bane out in the forest. The 5K and half marathon are on pavement, the full marathon includes dirt surfaces.

Is The Sedona Marathon walker friendly?

No, all runners/participants will need to be lined up at the start at 8 a.m.

Will runners line-up at the start according to their pace per mile?

Participants are asked to assemble in the area that is closest to their race and projected race time. Wlakers are asked to be towards the rear of their race contingent corral. With a smaller field there may simply be a different start corral for marathoners, half marathoners and 5K participants.

Will the course be closed to traffic?

The course will share roadways with traffic, with barricades and safety devices in place for the safety of racers. Jeep tour companies in the region will also be monitoring for safety farther out on the course.

Racers can check maps at Tlaquepaque packet pick-up and on race day at the Red Rock High School field for locations.

Will there be a cutoff time for the finish line?

If you know you must drop out of the race and have someone to pick you up, you must turn in your timing chip to recovery point for all chips, otherwise you will be charged a fee for not returning your chip.
